Seoul i Implanter & Slit

The devices used to harvest follicles and implant them into the scalp during hair transplant surgery are the implanter and the slit. At Seoul i, we use tools suited to the type of hair loss to perform customized transplantation

Seoul i Implanter Transplant?

☑️ Uses a disposable implanter for safe, hygienic surgery

☑️ Uses an in-house implanter matched to the follicle size

☑️ Skilled follicle-separation technicians divide multi-follicular units without damage

☑️ Shortens surgery time and allows easy control of direction and angle for a natural result

" Precisely moving and implanting follicles into the desired area "

The implanter is a device shaped like a mechanical pencil, a method that loads one follicle at a time onto the needle tip and implants it into the desired area at a precise direction and angle.

It causes little drying damage to the follicles, so it can raise the graft survival rate, and is suitable for correcting the female hairline.

STEP 01. Load the separated follicles into the implanter.

STEP 02. Use the implanter to implant the follicles.

STEP 03. When the implanter is withdrawn, only the follicle naturally remains.

Seoul i Slit Transplant?

☑️ High graft survival rate achieving a density of about 80-90% or more of normal hair

☑️ Skilled medical staff create dense slits matched to the follicle size

☑️ Implants centered on multi-follicular units to achieve fuller hair

☑️ Creates the sites for follicles in the recipient area in advance to minimize scalp irritation

" A safe procedure that minimizes scalp irritation "

The slit is a fine needle-shaped device, a method that first creates narrow holes 1-1.3mm in size before implantation and then inserts follicles one by one. It is a method that can implant precisely in line with the direction and angle in which the hair grows.

Implanter · Slit Method (5)

Implanter VS Slit

▪️ Implanter hair transplant

Because the procedure time is short, the harvested follicles suffer little drying damage, so the graft survival rate is high. However, it is cheaper than slit hair transplant, and there can be relatively more scarring within the scalp and the density can be lower.

▪️ Slit hair transplant

If a specialist does not perform the implantation directly, controlling the direction and depth of the grafts is not easy, and the cost is relatively higher than implanter hair transplant. It is a method optimized for secondary surgery or scarred scalp.

Implanter · Slit Method (7)

After diagnosing the scalp and hair condition, we determine the surgical method and the number of grafts to be transplanted, then choose to proceed with the implanter or slit method

Although the slit method and the implanter method differ in process, there is no significant difference in graft survival outcomes, so it is best to choose the appropriate method considering the hair thickness and scalp elasticity. At Seoul i, we can perform both techniques and, rather than insisting on emphasizing a particular procedure, we provide care suited to each patient's requirements.

We select the device by checking the client's degree of hair loss progression, scalp and hair condition, density, and more.
